Come Live In Me
©2011 Stephen G Brown
Confused the east and west
When the sun comes up
Thought it was going down.
Thought day was night
Thought dark was light back then
I see much clearer now.
Come live in me that I might
Grow into the creation
That You made me for
Made me to be
These eyes have seen the Savior
A Light for all the nations
Joy of Israel
Sent to rescue me
I walked in counsel
That was all my own
It seemed to wise to me
But God's foolishness
is wiser than
Any man can be
Come live in me that I might
Grow into the creation
That You made me for
Made me to be
These eyes have seen the Savior
A Light for all the nations
Joy of Israel
Sent to rescue me
He offered up His life
And washed us clean
His death has set us free
He rose to live again
Gives life to those who dwell in Him
He made the blind to see
Come live in me that I might
Grow into the creation
That You made me for
Made me to be
These eyes have seen the Savior
A Light for all the nations
Joy of Israel
Sent to rescue me
Okay, this is amazing. I have never heard this song before, and here it is, all written and recorded with these delicious lyrics...

YEAH! And more...
"Come live in me that I might

Made me to be"
Yeah!
I've often thought that writing music is the closest thing that people can experience to what God may have experienced in creating the universe. He spoke the universe into existence out of nothingness.
ReplyDeleteVisual arts begin with raw materials and form them into something new. Writing a song begins without raw materials. A song springs into existence simply because we sing it. It stops existing when we stop singing it.
It is not dependent even on the waves in the air which carry it from mouth to ear. We may sing the song inside our minds, and it is just as real as if we sing it out loud.
Every time I write a song, it seems like a new miracle to me.
