Is it baseball and apple pie?
Is it guns, guts and glory?
Go team, go

Is it burgers and icecream?
Big cars and big houses?
And bigger loans
Thought I knew you

Tell me what is America
Is it Christmas with snowmen?
Is it Easter with Honey Ham?
And Halloween
Tell me what is America
Is farmers and factories?
Is it where all men live most free
Or is that Amsterdam?
Thought I knew you
But I was wrong
Desolate and understated. Just the way I like them.
